Every Successful Blast Begins With a Detailed Plan

At A1 Drilling and Blasting our projects start with a detailed engineering process that brings clarity to complex sites. Using advanced Strayos programming and a smart rock GPS enabled drill we build an accurate 3D model of the ledge and define every detail of the design. This allows our team to understand the geology, anticipate challenges and create a safe and efficient blast plan.

For many projects the margin for error is very small. Our design process accounts for tight tolerances, elevation shifts, structure placement, future site development and other sensitive project requirements. This approach ensures that by the time we step onto the site the entire plan is already modeled, calculated and ready to execute with precision.

PHASE 2

Overhead Planning and Field Execution

Once the engineering and modeling are complete the project moves into overhead planning. Here we map drill patterns, burdens, and timing sequences with complete accuracy. The overhead view allows clients to see exactly how the plan becomes a field layout and how each part of the design works together.
We drill using a smart rock GPS enabled system that provides exact hole placement and consistent depth. Timing is programmed to protect the integrity of the rock mass, control vibration and achieve the desired final result. This level of precision is especially important on projects where structures, utilities or future construction fall within narrow distance requirements.

Presplit Wall

Clean, Controlled Results That Support Future Construction

A presplit wall is often the foundation for the next stage of development. Whether the goal is to stabilize a ledge, create space for a structure or prepare a site for heavy equipment placement the quality of the blast directly affects the long term strength and safety of the project.

Our presplit process produces clean controlled walls that meet demanding construction tolerances. The examples shown here demonstrate how advanced planning, GPS drilling and precise timing produce consistent results and protect the surrounding rock. These walls are ready for future building, equipment installation or site development with confidence.
